Today, I have for you an idea for smoothie with turmeric. Yes, no typos there, with turmeric! This spice has wonderful healing properties. For instance it has been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activities. Just another great reason to introduce it to your diet. Most people know turmeric from curries. However this is not the only dish, you can add it to. Turmeric is a great match for smoothies as well. Don’t worry, it will not ruin the taste. When you mix it with fruits and veggies, only the colour might indicate the turmeric is hiding inside. And your body will only thank you for that 😉
Servings: 2Ingredients:
- 1 mango
- 2 zucchinis (300 g)
- 80 g frozen kale (you can add fresh one if you want)
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 10 g fresh ginger
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp homemade nut butter (I use cashew butter link)
Directions:
- In a blender mix all the ingredients until smooth. Poor into glasses.
